On March 2nd we were invited to Groveport Community School to help celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday by sharing the love of reading with their students.
It was clear that they were filled with "Grizzly Pride" and that reading was a big part of their school day!
We had two school assemblies, and after we warmed up their imaginations, we helped as they created their own rhyming stories that Alex illustrated in real time!
At the end of the day, this sweet girl came up to us in the hallway. She said that meeting us was her dream come true, and that we inspired her to write her own story. She's going to be a great author someday! To know that we can inspire kids like her makes all the hard work we put into creating our children's books worth it.
Groveport Community School was a great success, and we had a wonderful time!
Were you wondering what their stories looked like? Well here they are!
